S. Central America and nw. South America;
Fragmented distribution;
(1) Costa Rica and w. Panama.
(2) E. Panama (Cerro Pirre, Cerro Tacarcuna, Cerro Mali) and w. and c. Andes of Colombia along the w. slope from Antioquia s. to Quindio.
(3) W. Ecuador in the coastal ranges of the Cordillera de Mache in sw. Manabi and w. Guayas and the Andes s. to nw. Azuay
