Nw. to nc. Africa;
Two small isolated populations in the s. part of range;
(1) Sw. Mauritania, Senegambia, s. Mali, Guinea-Bissau, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Central African Republic, s. Chad, e. to s. Sudan, w. and c. Kenya and s. to ne. Zaire, Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, and nw. Tanzania.
(2) Sahel zone from ec. Mali, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, s. Niger, s. Chad to w. and s. Sudan.
(3) E. Sudan, n. and w. Ethiopia and Eritrea.
(4) S. Gabon, Congo, nw. Angola (Cabinda possibly s. to Malanje), and sc. Zaire.
