Range

Coastal s. Alaska, w. Canada to sw. United States;
Several isolated populations in the s. part of the range;
(1) Se. Alaska, Canada (coastal and c. interior British Columbia) s. w. of the Cascades in nw. United States (w. Oregon).
(2) S. Oregon s. to wc. California and in the Sierra Nevada to ec. California and w. Nevada then locally in the mountains to s. California and s. Nevada).
Winters s. to n. Mexico (n. Baja).
