Range

Upper Amazonia in wc. South America;
(1) Nw. Brazil.
(2) N. upper Amazonia in e. Colombia, s. Venezuela, e. Ecuador, ne. Peru and nw. Amazonian Brazil.
(3) E. Peru, n. Bolivia and adjacent w. Amazonian Brazil s. of the Amazon and e. to the Rio Purus.
The unique type of the Maroon-banded Aracari was collected at Joao Pessoa on the w. bank of the upper Rio Jurua, Amazonian Brazil.
