Range

S. Atlantic Ocean and s. Indian Ocean between 30°S and 60°S;
Breeds on is. between 36°S and 49°S including Tristan da Cunha (Nightingale and Gough Is.), Amsterdam, Marion, Prince Edward, Crozet and Kerguelen Is. Colony on St. Paul Is. abandoned.
Disperses mainly s. of 35°S in the s. Atlantic and Indian Oceans. During the summer found between 35°S and 50°S (64°S in the sw. Indian Ocean) and during the winter between 30°S and 40°S. Found off the coasts of South Africa (30°S to 60°S), Australia (s. Western Australia, w. Victoria off Portland), s. Tasmania as well as in the s. Indian Ocean.
